People and Places that have served as inspiration and helped me find facts and fun stuff for my books:

Robin Bayne - a great mentor to Christian writers, she writes heart-warming romances.

Jerusalem Mill Village - A mill and other buildings near the banks of the Little Gunpowder River dating back to the 18th Century. They offer living history programs every weekend and a variety of special events.

Kangaroo Kids - They offer classes for all levels of expertise, as well as teams that perform and compete all over.

Kate Dolan - The best writer ever. She writes historical fiction and romance. (Yeah, it's just my other website. Since my historical books are so different, I decided to write my contemporary stories under a different name.)

Loree Lough - This dynamic woman does it all - she's a great writer, teacher, speaker and friend.

The Suspense Zone - A great source of information, reviews and interviews in the realm of Christian suspense and mystery.

Some Great Resources

Heart Moments Cover

Family Heart Moments

This is a collection of stories from parents about times when they have really connected with their children. Families and friends learn from each other, and this book gives some great examples of how we can learn from each other (young and old alike).

My character "Evan" is based on a boy in this book -- see if you can find him!

Words to Write By

Words to Write By

A variety of authors share the Scripture or quotations they find inspiring to their writing. The devotionals they’ve contributed reflect all aspects of the writing life: basic motivation, rejection, publishing and succeeding.

This really ties in with my "Life Beyond the Lunchboxes" theme - if you're going to write, you have to make it work within the context of your life. There are many different strategies for adapting, and this book gives a lot of pointers.

This collection was the brainchild of my friend Robin Bayne. For more information, visit Mountain View Publishing.
